Honoring Brandon’s legacy by providing hope, education, advocacy, and support to our military community.
The Brandon Caserta Foundation was founded on one simple promise:
That Brandon’s life would continue to make a difference.
After losing our son, Brandon, we made a commitment that his kindness, compassion, and unwavering belief in doing what was right would continue to help others.
Today, the Foundation works to improve the lives of active-duty service members, veterans, and their families through education, advocacy, support programs, and mental health awareness.
Everything we do is guided by one mission:
To ensure that no one has to face a mental health crisis alone.
Our Story
A Promise That Became a Mission
The Brandon Caserta Foundation was created from a promise made by two parents determined to honor their son’s life by helping others.
What began as a family’s commitment to create positive change has grown into a national effort focused on improving mental health awareness, removing barriers to care, and supporting those who serve our country.
Every program, every resource, and every conversation reflects Brandon’s values of Honor, Respect, Patience, and Kindness.
Why We Exist
Our mission is to improve the lives of active-duty service members, veterans, and their families by providing education, advocacy, guidance, and support.
We believe that every service member deserves timely access to mental health care without unnecessary barriers, every family deserves compassionate support, and every life has immeasurable value.
Programs That Support Our Military Community
The Foundation is committed to supporting our military community through programs and initiatives that provide practical assistance, education, and hope.
Some of our programs include:
The Brandon Act Education & Awareness
Providing resources that help service members understand their rights and how to request mental health care.
Scholarships
Supporting future leaders committed to improving mental health and serving others.
Lantern Walk for Hope & Remembrance
Bringing communities together to remember loved ones and raise awareness about suicide prevention.
Speaking & Education
Sharing Brandon’s story to educate military leaders, service members, healthcare professionals, and communities across the country.
Brandon’s Bikes
Providing bicycles to service members who need reliable transportation.
Family Travel Assistance
Helping families travel to be with a loved one during a mental health crisis.
Funding Availability
The Brandon Caserta Foundation is committed to supporting active-duty service members, veterans, and their families whenever possible. As a nonprofit organization, our programs—including Brandon’s Bikes and Family Travel Assistance—are funded through the generosity of donors, grants, and sponsors.
Assistance is provided as funding and resources allow and cannot be guaranteed. Every request is carefully reviewed, and when we are unable to provide direct assistance, we will do our best to connect individuals and families with other organizations and available resources whenever possible.
Looking Toward the Future
We envision a future where every service member feels safe asking for help, every military family knows where to turn for support, and conversations about mental health are met with compassion instead of stigma.
Through continued advocacy, education, and collaboration, we hope to build a military culture where seeking help is recognized as a sign of strength.
